Joyce Kim graduated from Allen High School in 2011. She was active in Student Government, National Honor Society, Orchestra, and a variety of other extra-curricular activities. She was a Texas delegate to the United States Senate Youth Program and a 2010 Bank of America Student Leader. She is planning to major in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). She hopes to go into foreign service and/or graduate school upon graduation.

Soo Nam

Soo Nam graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Psychology in 2007. Ms. Nam is currently a second year law student at SMU Dedman School of law pursuing her Juris Doctorate Degree. In addition, she just finished her legal summer studies at the University College in Oxford, UK. With her educational background, Ms. Nam currently works as a law clerk at Choe Holen PC.

In addition to her legal career, Ms. Nam is actively involved in community activities with numerous organizations as a Korean American leader here in Dallas. First, Ms. Nam is President and a Board Member of Korean American Coalition (KAC). In addition, she is actively involved with other organizations including Korean American Professional Network, Korean American Federation, and the National Unification Advisory Council. Fluent in both English and Korean, her bilingual skills have been and will continue to be a tremendous asset to the Korean American community

Hannah Lee

First Year Medical Student at Texas Tech Paul L. Foster School of Medicine

Hannah Lee is currently a first year medical student at Texas Tech Paul L. Foster School of Medicine studying with a full scholarship. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Plan II Honors in 2011. During college, she also studied music and worked as a public health intern for Texas Senator D-Eliot Shapleigh. She was also concert master of the Allen High School orchestra. During her spare time, she enjoys playing violin, exercising and ballroom dancing. In the future, Hannah hopes to become a pediatrician.

Thomas C. Kim

Investment Banker

Thomas (Tom) Kim is an Principal at MHT Partners, a middle market investment bank based in Dallas, TX. Since 2006, Tom has worked in a variety of roles in investment banking and strategic consulting. Prior to his current position, Tom worked at the Boston Consulting Group and Citigroup. He also served as an officer in the U.S. Army for 5 years prior to attending business school. Tom received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 2007 and his B.S. in Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2000.

Jonathan Kim

MD

Reproductive endocrinology and Infertility Fellow, UT Southwestern Medical Center Upon completion of his undergraduate studies in neurobiology and animal behavior at Cornell University, he went on to receive his MD degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in 2006. Dr. Kim is a recent graduate of Parkland Memorial Hospital’s ob/gyn residency program and currently specializing in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at UT Southwestern Medical Center. In addition to his clinical duties, he is interested in studying how adipocytes (fat cells) impact steroid production.

Edward Um

PharmD

Attended the Univ. of Texas at Austin majoring in Economics and worked for an energy firm within the DFW area shortly after graduation. After about a year and half of working, he decided to change careers and have recently graduated from the Univ. of Houston College of Pharmacy this past May. I plan to work within the community setting for a year and then apply for residency with an interest in emergency medicine.

Young Oh

Engineer at Texas Instruments

Since 2000, Young has been working as a Process Engineer focused in fabrication technology for semiconductor devices. He graduated from Lewisville High School in Lewisville, TX in 1996, as the Senior Class President and was rank 3rd in the class of over 500 students. He was also a State-qualifying swimmer and served as the team captain. He received B.A. in Physics from Austin College in 2000 and received Leadership Institute scholarship. At Austin College, Young was a founder of MAC (Math Achievement Center) which provides free math tutoring to the local high school students. He also received M.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Dallas in 2007.

Youngsook Lee

She has Master of Taxation from University of North Texas and currently a candidate of Texas CPA. Ms. Lee is a mother of two children and brings 17 year life experience in the US as well as her professional experience to help students and families looking for college admission and financial aid. In particular, she directly interacts with students and helps them with heart of parents.
